State Savings Banks: Background
In 1993, the 73rd Texas Legislature adopted the Texas Savings Bank Act (SB 396). The savings bank created under this act provides an alternative savings institution charter with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”) or Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) as the primary federal regulator.

Right to Notice About Certain Information Laws and Practices
With few exceptions, you are entitled on request to be informed about the information that this state governmental body collects about you. Under Sections 552.021 and 552.023 of the Government Code, you are entitled to receive and review the information. Additionally, under Section 559.004 of the Government Code, you are entitled to have the state governmental body correct information about you that is incorrect.
