Military Service Members, Veterans, and Spouses of Military Service Members

In recognition of the tremendous sacrifices made by our military and their families, the Department is offering an expedited application process for active duty military service members, veterans, and spouses of active duty military service members. The expedited application process is only available for Residential Mortgage Loan Originator (RMLO) applications.

Individuals who qualify should review the RMLO New Application Checklist for specific directions. The process involves submitting the application through NMLS, including uploading certain documents, and then notifying the Department of the request for expedited processing. The Department is committed to supporting our military members, especially those transitioning from military service, and spouses of active duty military service members who often must relocate with their military family member.

Once the expedited request has been received, the Applicant will be notified of the progress of the application via the NMLS notification system.
