Re: Proposed Amendments to Loan Status Forms A and B
As you know the Finance Commission of Texas, at the request of the Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, published (on April 26, 2019, in 44 Texas Register 2131) for public comment proposed amendments to 7 Texas Administrative Code § 80.201, Forms A and B (applicable to mortgage loan companies) and 7 Texas Administrative Code § 81.201, Forms A and B (applicable to mortgage bankers and residential mortgage loan originators).
The Department appreciates the comments it has received and believes it would be beneficial to have an additional stakeholders meeting, to further discuss the proposed rule amendments regarding the loan status forms. We welcome your input and hope you or your designee can attend.
After the meeting on September 9, 2019, the Department will decide how to proceed on any rule amendments. Thank you again for taking the time to contribute to this important process.
